This unique and delicious dessert is perfect for company! It uses our pure cranberry juice or White Cranberry Wine from Muskoka Lakes Winery.
Fresh fruit selection (e.g. strawberries, blueberries, peaches, melons, bananas, pineapple, grapes)
1/4 cup White Cranberry Wine or Johnston’s Pure Cranberry Juice
2 cups whipping cream, whipped
brown sugar to cover
Note: If using banana, use sparingly as it will overpower the flavour.
Toss any combination of fruit in juice or wine and arrange in individual ramekin dishes (or 9 x 13 inch baking dish.) Spread whipped cream thickly and evenly over the fruit. Refrigerate all day (4 hours minimum.) Top with a quarter inch layer of brown sugar and place in top third of oven under broiler for 2 to 3 minutes or until caramelized. Watch carefully. Return to refrigerator for 1 hour. Must make ahead.
