Summer Sunday afternoons in Muskoka are for relaxing with a cocktail or glass of wine while listening to music on the patio with friends. We’ve curated a list of fantastic local musicians to come and play on our patio while you enjoy our picturesque landscape.

We’re thrilled to welcome Carter Pharoah to Sip ‘n Sounds Sundays this August 3rd. A rising force in the local music scene, Carter has built a reputation from Bracebridge to Burk’s Falls for his genre-spanning performances, seamlessly shifting from folk-rock to ska, country to classic rock. With a warm stage presence and a rare ability to learn songs by ear, Carter delivers unique, crowd-responsive shows that make each set feel like a one-of-a-kind experience. His deep appreciation for storytelling and lyricism—especially inspired by songwriting legend John Prine—shines through in his original work, which he weaves into his dynamic live sets. Carter’s path to music has been anything but ordinary—from a suspended high school drummer to a Griffin Pub chef who played sets on his breaks, and now a full-time musician and teacher. Self-taught and self-driven, his passion for music is unmistakable, fueled by creativity, connection, and community. Whether he’s warming up with Dave Matthews’ complex rhythms or dreaming of future children’s albums with his artist wife, Carter’s heart is always in the music—and this summer, it’s bringing him to our stage.
